Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses. Full time, Evening Shift (with call). Work Schedule: Two 8-hour shifts (3pm - 11:30pm) & Two 12-hour shifts (11am - 11:30pm) per week. Inova Alexandria Hospital is a beautiful 318-bed community hospital located in the city of Alexandria. Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities: 3Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships. 3Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice. 3Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions. 3Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues. 3Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs. Operating Room Registered NurseRequirements: 3Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse. 3Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. 3License: Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. 3Certification: Basic Life Support with American Heart Association. Preferred Experience & Certification: 3Experience with the following cases: Ortho, Neuro, Robotics 3Scrubbing experience 3AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and/or CNOR
