Responsible for performing safe and effective cardiac stress tests (i.e., treadmills, thallium treadmills, pharmacological stress tests, stress echocardiograms, pharmacologic stress echocardiograms); pacemaker checks; arrhythmia surveillance monitoring, prepare patients for and assist with diagnostic procedures, including Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversions, tilt-table tests, and blood pressure monitoring on a given group of patients. Delivers individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient's family. Complies with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.

- Successfully passing safety, cultural sensitivity, and blood pathogen classes.
- Knowledge and experience with conscious sedation medications and their reversal agents.
- Knowledge and demonstrated skill using special equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, temporary pacemakers, O2 equipment, SPO2 monitors, EKG machines, defibrillators, etc..
Required ExperienceRequired:- Current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
- BCLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- One year of Critical Care experience
- LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment
Preferred: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
