We are currently hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work 36 hours per week on the Day shift for our Clinical Decision unit. Typical shift is 7a -7p with Weekends and Holidays, per the guidelines of the department. The Clinical Decision Unit utilizes the nursing process to deliver safe, context-dependent patient and family-centered care in accordance with the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards of Practice, which explicitly delineates those duties that all registered nurses, regardless of role, position, population, or specialty, are expected to perform competently. The Direct-Care Registered Nurse is individually responsible and accountable for maintaining competency as evidenced by integration of nursing knowledge, skills, abilities and judgment. Failure to demonstrate competent nursing practice may result in dismissal. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and/or the situation. (Assessment) - Analyzes the assessment data to determine the nursing diagnoses or the relevant issues. (Diagnosis) - Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation. (Health Teaching and Health Promotion) - Evaluates progress toward the attainment of outcomes and revises the plan of care accordingly. REQUIREMENTS: - BSN preferred - Commitment to acquiring BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience. - At least one year med/surg experience as a RN. - BLS required Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
