Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical II, Labor & DeliveryValley Presbyterian Hospital
What You'll Do- Provide and coordinate patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with hospital policies
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care
- Communicate effectively with physicians and care teams using SBAR
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Support infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Advocate for patients and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
- Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Support patient throughput, including admissions, transfers, and discharges
What You Bring- 1+ year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting
- Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care
Requirements- Current California RN license
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- AHA BLS certification
- AHA ACLS certification
- NRP within 30 days of employment
- Fetal Monitoring Certificate (Obtain within the first 30 days of employment or transfer)
- Annual Nursing Care Stroke Education within 30 days of employment
- Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days of employment
