Reports To: Commercial Director - Canada

Salary Range - $110,000 - $125,000

About the Role

The Technical Sales Manager (Regional, Western Canada) is responsible for supporting the growth of Tate's business across Western Canada through a combination of sales development, customer engagement, project management, and project execution. This role works directly with owners, consultants, contractors, data centre operators, and channel partners to identify opportunities, support project pursuits, manage customer relationships, and oversee project execution from award through completion.

What You'll Do

Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and maintain relationships with owners, consultants, contractors, dealers, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within data centres, mission critical facilities, and commercial construction markets.
  • Conduct customer meetings, site visits, lunch-and-learns, and project presentations.
  • Support specification development and early-stage project engagement.
  • Maintain and grow a healthy project pipeline through active market development.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with estimating and engineering teams to develop project solutions and quotations.
  • Support dealer and channel partner development throughout Western Canada.


Project Management and Execution

  • Manage projects from award through completion.
  • Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, and customer expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, supply chain, finance and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, risks, and timelines.
  • Support project kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and close-out activities.
  • Resolve project challenges proactively to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and operational requirements.


Customer and Stakeholder Management

  • Build long-term customer relationships through responsive communication and execution excellence.
  • Coordinate activities between customers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Provide regular project updates and status reporting.
  • Support customer issue resolution and post-project follow-up activities.
  • Represent Tate at industry events, customer meetings, and regional networking opportunities.
  • Must be able to travel throughout Canada and the United States as required.


Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.


What You'll Bring

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, project management, construction products, building materials, data centre infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Experience working with architects, consultants, engineers or specification driven construction projects is considered an asset.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and construction-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction and project delivery processes.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
  • PMP designation considered an asset.
