JOB SUMMARY: Under limited managerial review and guidance: Regional Service Managers provide a healthy business environment which fosters a pro-active, positive work environment for the staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Financial Plan
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual deposit and loan production goals. Generate Non Interest Income through the sale of fee based services.
  • Monitor NIE and NII analysis monthly.
  • Support branches with deposit retention efforts.
  • Consistently deliver excellence in service by adhering to the Bank's service standards.
  • Review and approve employee expense reports.
  • Communicates with individual branches, providing guidance in the following areas, including: Staffing Issues - to ensure maximum levels of customer service. Scheduling - to ensure maximum levels of customer service. Performance issues/disciplinary action
  • Ensure audits/branch reviews are satisfactory.
  • Liaison between branch and support departments.
  • Development and implementation of corporate policies relating to operations.
  • Screen and interview branch job applicants.
  • Visit branches to inspect operational/sales activities.
  • Ensure key initiatives are consistently achieved.
  • Conduct CSM Meeting
  • RSM and RMM will jointly conduct Region Meeting.

Compliance Responsibilities
  • Complete regulatory tutorials to ensure understanding of compliance standards and expectations.
  • Ensure that all staff completes regulatory tutorials and has an understanding of compliance standards and expectations.
  • Ensure staff is able to answer regulatory questions correctly during Audit/Branch Review.
  • Ensure CRA service hours branch goals are met.
  • Reinforcement of audit issues/control issue.
  • Risk monitoring (i.e., Kiting Suspect report).

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Consistently adhere to the "no surprises" standards by communicating problems, successes and challenges to Sr RSM.

Requirements

Previous supervisory or managerial experience as an operations manager in a financial institution where incumbent has gained an in-depth working knowledge of budgetary techniques, compliance issues, operational procedures, human relations policies, and financial products. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, presentation, organizational and communication skills required. For purposes of business travel, a valid driver's license as well as a personal vehicle to drive is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  1. Drives to various locations, must maintain current driver's license and provide proof of insurance.
  2. Sits for long periods of time at meetings and while traveling.
  3. On-call around the clock.

MENTAL DEMANDS:
  • Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining composure and meeting established service standards.
  • Apply basic and intermediate math skill when determining budgetary and expense costs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data and employees involved in employee relation situations.
  • Implement regulatory and corporate-directed changes to branch operational employees.
  • Resolve conflicts between branches, staff members within a branch, customers and branch staff, branch personnel and other support department personnel.
  • Communicate policies, procedures, recommendations and decisions in a positive manner.

EQUIPMENT USED:
  • Computer terminal, telephone, calculator, cell phone.


DECISION MAKING:
  • Assign signing authority to individuals including OD limits and cash limits for branches.
  • Recommend the hiring of a particular applicant or the termination of an employee.
  • Respond to customer concerns from assigned region that is directed to the CEO.
  • Recommend additions and/or deletions to current branch staffing levels.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Directly Supervised: Based on the assigned region. Supervised by Subordinates: Branch staff for all assigned branches.


FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Assists branches to maintain established regional budget.

CONTACTS:
  • Internal: All levels of Bancorporation and Subsidiary personnel.
  • External: Customers, vendors, members of community agencies and/or associations.
  • Classification level based on size of region, staffing levels, and budgets

Salary Description

$75,753.60 - $86,000.00
