Job Description:

As part of the Kerr sales organization, the Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for the strategic development and management for Western Canada, selling company manufactured products through designated distributors/dealers. This RSD will establish and implement a sales strategy to meet or exceed set business performance and growth targets. As a key leader within the business, the RSD is responsible for developing talent, managing performance, and driving engagement within for a team of sales professionals.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver sales growth by achieving regional revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive business expansion and customer acquisition.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, distributors, dealers, and industry partners.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team through clear expectations, accountability, and ongoing feedback.
  • Drive talent management activities, including hiring, performance management, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Execute sales strategies and priorities in partnership with Marketing and cross-functional teams.
  • Set regional sales goals, forecasts, and business plans, while effectively managing budgets and resources.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, operational excellence, and compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership by building trust, developing people, managing risk, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • 7+ years successful B2B sales experience, preferred within dental space
  • Experience leading a team of professionals
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Candidate must live within the designated territory/geography; ideally in Vancouver or Calgary

  • Strong ability to understand, simplify, and communicate technical, clinical, and product information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching, developing, and managing high-performing sales teams.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to assess current and future opportunities and make decisions that drive results.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to help teams manage competing priorities.

  • Highly self-aware with a commitment to continuous learning and personal leadership development.
  • Experience applying Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies to sales and business processes, driving operational excellence, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.

Travel / Location Requirement

  • Ability to travel including evenings, weekends, and overnight stays up to 40%
  • Should be willing to co-travel with each representative an average of 3-5 days each quarter
