Role Overview

We are looking for a business analyst/manager to join our growing team and support our Regional Sales Teams.

Hybrid role based out of the Chicago office. Monday - Wednesday onsite required

Regular in-person attendance consistent with the Company's established work schedule is an essential function of this position to facilitate effective collaboration, communication, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Region Sales Support: (30-50%)
  • Support Regional Sales Manager in all aspects of Selling Cycle and Customer Level Opportunity Development
  • Development and updating of fact-based selling stories/presentations, leveraging syndicated data for customer meetings, category line reviews, present innovation, defend and expand National Brand and Private Label business.
  • Primary lead for any customer POL systems within region.
  • Prepare analyses to include share, growth trends, promotion effectiveness, pricing, distribution recap, and new item tracking for strategic accounts utilizing Nielsen and internal retailer data.
  • Manage store/item level data to identify consumer and geographic trends.
  • Proactively dig into sales data to identify opportunities that drive sales and profitability and contribute to building strategic business plans.
  • Support and facilitate the new item set up process to ensure timely and accurate new item launches, as well as cost changes.


Internal Business Planning Support: (30-50%)
  • Own and execute key internal forecasting and risk & opportunities processes
  • Develop and own regional spending/budget processes for assigned region.
  • Maintain and update scorecards on regular basis to allow sales team and internal stakeholder visibility. Communicate key business trends and changes.
  • Collaborate with Insights/Category Management to leverage shopper insights, assortment optimization and merchandising execution.
  • Participate in key internal project teams.


Business/Customer Management: (0-30% based on development/experience)
  • Own specific customer(s)/broker(s) relationship for a subset of region
  • Business responsibility and ownership for a subset of region
  • Execute Regional Business Plans w/limited oversight from RSD


Qualifications

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional work experience.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-driven, ability to take proactive approach to understand business.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to develop fact-based insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborative, team player with positive attitude.
  • Ability to simplify robust data into actionable recommendations, experience with IRI or Nielsen data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, manage deadlines and deliverables.
  • Strong competency, advanced skill set in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible, 10-25% travel as needed.
