ABOUT THE TEAM

The Global Alliances and Channels team at Appian is a fast-paced, dynamic organization that plays an integral role in driving Appian's growth globally. We are establishing an elite, high-impact technical group to elevate our partner ecosystem's technical abilities and expertise to deliver market-leading solutions. Your work directly impacts partner capability, customer satisfaction, and Appian's market expansion through channel revenue.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Partner Technical Success Architect supporting North America, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to top-tier GSIs and enterprise delivery partners. This is a high-visibility, force-multiplier role where your architectural guidance directly impacts complex, mission-critical transformations for major enterprise clients. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Guide partner delivery teams across North America to ensure their engineering practices and technical implementations consistently align with Appian's highest architectural standards.
  • Review complex enterprise application designs to ensure platform scalability, security frameworks, performance tuning, and long-term maintainability for mission-critical client deployments.
  • Mentor partner technical leads, solution architects, and developers, building high-performing partner teams capable of delivering complex applications independently.
  • Collaborate with North American partner leads, Appian Customer Success, and Technical Support to diagnose and resolve architecture and performance challenges on high-stakes, strategic accounts.
  • Help create and curate reusable design patterns, integration blueprints, and fixes that directly feed into and enhance Appian's AI tooling for partners.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise and support technical enablement across the global partner community by participating in live technical forums, Q&A sessions, and contributing to practical training and certification assets.
  • Work alongside Appian's Customer Success and Product Engineering teams to vet alternate channel solution architecture designs to ensure they are commercially robust, supportable, and repeatable.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Software Architecture, with a proven track record of designing, building, and deploying large-scale, enterprise-grade systems.
  • Deep proficiency in Database Design, API Integrations, Security Frameworks, Performance Tuning, and Cloud Deployment Models.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with GSIs, regional systems integrators, and enterprise delivery teams across North America.
  • Proven experience conducting architecture reviews, code reviews, and establishing engineering best practices for scalable enterprise platforms.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to command technical respect from partner executives and developer teams.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 30% to visit key partner delivery teams, host technical masterclasses, and support critical on-site project discovery.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Senior or Lead Appian Certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of defining commercially robust, repeatable architecture patterns alongside Product Engineering and Customer Success teams.
  • We value experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce or ServiceNow, as these skills translate well into our Enterprise-Grade Orchestration environment.

The base salary range per provided represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant work experience, qualifications, internal peer equity, and market and business conditions that exist when extending an offer. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a commission plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

Base Salary Range

$125,000-$250,000 USD
