Job Description

Dewberry Design-Builders Inc. is seeking a Regional Market Sector Leader to help lead and grow our design-build water and wastewater practice across the Carolinas and Mid-Atlantic. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys shaping strategy, delivering complex infrastructure projects, and brings strong relationships with civil and specialty subcontractors throughout the region. This role offers a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
  • Direct business development efforts and pursuit strategies for water/wastewater design-build projects
  • Manage construction planning, estimating, pricing, and execution for complex infrastructure projects
  • Oversee multidisciplinary design and construction teams through full project delivery
  • Lead subcontractor identification, vetting, partnering, and contract strategy
  • Review and manage prime contracts and subcontract agreements
  • Partner with HSE leadership to promote a strong safety culture across all projects
  • Drive collaboration across Dewberry offices and water sector teams
  • Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations
  • Supports recruiting efforts aligned with market growth strategies


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, or Environmental Engineering (preferred)
  • 15+ years of experience in water/WWTP or related field involving construction of complex MEP intensive projects
  • Experience with water/wastewater projects for municipal and industrial facilities
  • Strong knowledge of design-build or alternative delivery methods
  • Proven leadership in safety, QA/QC, risk management, and financial performance
  • Strong business development skills
  • Strong client relationship and subcontractor network in the Carolinas and Mid-Atlantic
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $175,000 - $210,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
