Director, Renewable O&M

Position Overview

As the Director, Renewable O&M you will be responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of multiple renewable energy centers in the northeast and Canada. This position will be remote, based in the State of New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Invenergy EHS to ensure employee safety and wellbeing.
  • Drive and cultivate employee engagement and culture.
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with all written policies, procedures, contracts, etc.
  • Develop and implement operational philosophies and procedures to align with the company’s culture and mission.
  • Evaluate and streamline maintenance processes and practices to minimize turbine downtime and maximize technician productivity.
  • Interface with O&M Managers and Operations Engineering to quickly resolve technical issues affecting wind energy center production and availability.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management in the development, tracking, and analysis of the annual operating budgets.
  • Analyze operational data to understand current and future O&M needs.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection and training of all operating and administrative personnel within assigned region.
  • Complete regular visits and audits of wind energy centers.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years overall work experience in engineering, operations or maintenance with at least 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience in a direct supervision and leadership role.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and O&M practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
  • Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time including Domestic and International travel
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Requirements:

  • French speaking conversational

Base Pay

$155,000.00 - $195,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 35% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
