Job Description:

Overview:

The Opportunity:

Chatham's Real Estate Hedging Advisory team is experiencing continued growth in interest rate and foreign currency (FX) hedging activity. To support this momentum, we're hiring an Analyst to play a key role in advising our Real Estate clients on interest rate and FX hedging. The role offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment where team members develop a deep understanding of derivative products and markets while building long-term relationships with our clients. Learning happens through hands-on experience in an apprenticeship-style setting alongside seasoned consultants.

What You'll Do:

  • Advise real estate sponsors on interest rate and FX hedging strategies

  • Assist with pricing analysis and generate market indications using proprietary models and market intelligence

  • Structure, negotiate, and execute derivative transactions directly with bank counterparties

  • Analyze loan documents and capital structures to identify risk management implications

  • Assist senior advisors with presenting strategic recommendations to CFOs, treasury teams, and investment professionals

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver integrated advisory solutions

  • Prepare, negotiate and review transaction documents for legal and regulatory compliance

  • Build rapport and, together with other Chatham teams, develop relationships with clients to identify new hedging as well as non-hedging opportunities

Initially, you will be trained (or further trained) in interest rate and foreign currency hedging mechanics and pricing, followed by client advisory, deal structuring, negotiation of terms, and execution of hedges. As you grow in experience, you will bring value as a senior advisor, participating in all aspects of hedging strategy and transaction execution for clients while growing your expertise in capital markets. You will take ownership of and contribute actively to training newer team members. You will partner with colleagues in other service areas to identify additional client needs and provide comprehensive solutions. Our most experienced team members take on responsibility for a client sector or service and are involved in business development.

Contributors to your success:

  • "Do right by the client" attitude, inquisitive mindset, self-starter, team player

  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal

  • Attention to detail and consistent accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Proven drive, intellectual curiosity, and desire to grow personally and professionally

  • Proven orientation towards collective team performance

  • A bachelor's degree and approximately 1-5 years of relevant industry experience in real estate, finance, derivatives, capital markets, risk advisory, or related fields

  • MBA or Master's degree in finance or related credentials (CFA, CPA, MAI) a plus, but not required

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate raw data into practical insights

For Colorado based candidates, the compensation range for the position is expected to be between $80,000 and $105,000 annually, depending on the level. While this position is posted at the Analyst level, we are open to considering candidates at the Associate level based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. The level and corresponding compensation will be determined based on the applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation, including base pay, discretionary individual bonus and company bonus, may be higher than the range listed depending on applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401K, EAP, paid holidays, and paid time off.
