The ideal candidate combines technical excellence with a passion for innovation and exemplifies Clarience Technologies' C.L.E.A.R. principles: Curiosity, Leadership, Enthusiasm, Accountability, and Respect.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Investigate emerging technologies and assess their potential to support Clarience Technologies' long-term product and technology roadmaps
  • Develop project definitions, technical requirements, and technology assessments for new product concepts, feature enhancements, and advanced development initiatives.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions to evaluate new technologies, system architectures, and product concepts.
  • Research, document, and present technical findings, prototype results, recommendations, and technology assessments to engineering teams, management, and key stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and prototype next-generation electronic systems for transportation applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to transform concepts into practical prototype solutions
  • Develop integrated electronic systems that acquire, process, and communicate information while meeting performance, reliability, and application objectives in demanding operating environments
  • Work with project and program teams to identify and evaluate solutions that balance technical performance, cost, reliability, and business objectives
  • Conduct design reviews and risk assessments to evaluate technology readiness, identify potential failure modes, and improve design robustness
  • Develop and execute prototype validation, reliability, and field evaluation plans to assess performance and demonstrate technical feasibility
  • Support system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and field trial activities to validate functionality and performance within complete product systems
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, test reports, design records, technical presentations, and technology white papers that communicate findings, recommendations, and design outcomes
  • Willing to travel to execute application development and testing functions

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline or equivalent years' experience
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and validating electronic hardware systems
  • Experience designing and developing analog and digital embedded electronic systems, including sensors, processors, communication interfaces, and data acquisition technologies
  • Experience developing proof-of-concept prototypes and evaluating new technologies from concept through prototype validation and field evaluation
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop integrated system solutions
  • Experience conducting technical investigations, design reviews, risk assessments, and root-cause analysis
  • Experience creating and maintaining engineering documentation, technical reports, test plans, and design records
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Experience with embedded software development in C, C++, Python, RTOS, or Linux-based environments
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, I²C, Ethernet, Bluetooth, cellular, or related technologies
  • Experience in advanced development, applied research, or new technology development activities
  • Experience evaluating emerging technologies and assessing their applicability to future product and technology roadmaps
