Full Job Description
Job Purpose: Plans and directs the activities related to the inspection functions in a manner which meets company standards and methods as determined by quality assurance or other engineering departments. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development,and performance management of the staff. Outlines and implements training procedures of employees for the inspection operation including drawings, prints, schematics and quality assurance standards. Assures smooth operating of the inspection unit, maintaining daily records and reports. Prioritizes schedules based on product introduction and manufacturing schedules, maintaining a minimum turnaround time. Coordinates the disposition of rejected materials. Makes recommendations for capital expenditures and manpower for inspection area. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: ul> Leads and manages the QA Inspection and Receiving functions. This person will drive the quality team to implement improvements on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. ul> Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. ul> Establishes and recommends changes to policies which effect immediate organization(s). ul> Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. ul> Supervises QA and Receiving Inspectors to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. ul> Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements. ul> Responsible for selecting and developing people, and provides leadership to QA and Receiving team. ul> Helps to define requirements, plans, schedules resources effectively, monitors achievements and costs, and removes barriers to the groups success. ul> Provides guidance and advice to group members related to their approaches and methodologies in pursuing their assigned responsibilities. ul> Additional tasks and responsibilities as required. Education and Experience: ul> Bachelors degree in Engineering is preferred. ul> Minimum of 8years of experience in a Supervisor role. ul> Minimum of 10 years of experience performing inspection. ul> Oracle knowledge is preferred. ul> Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs is required. ul> Previous NPI experience preferred. ul> Previous Internal Audit experience inTraining, Document, ESD, Equipment, Materials/Conf Coat, Inspect/Recv/Ship, Reports and Survey/Feedback. Salary Range(annual): $80,000 - $90,000 Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidates years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
