Job Description:POSITION SUMMARY: Project Based QC Manager responsible to plan, direct, supervise, and implement project quality control activities in compliance with applicable company standards and programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prepare quality control procedures (work controlling documents) and review other department procedures for compliance and/or correctness.
- Prepare, obtain approval, issue and implement company quality control (assurance) program manual in compliance with owner contract and company requirements.
- As required by quality control program manual, perform activities such as audits, preparation of quality problems, etc.
- Provide administrative and technical direction to all quality control personnel
- Act as liaison with owner, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and/or internal departments on quality related matters as required.
- Ensure company standards as outlined in quality control (assurance) manual are effectively implemented.
- Insure adequate corrective measures are implemented in case on noncompliance.
- Assist in preparation of responses to RFQ's and RFP's regarding QA and QC programs.
- Perform internal/external audits to ensure quality control requirements are implemented and/or maintained.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
- 4+ years of related/ applicable experience in quality control
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Thorough working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/quality control activities.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills required.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and strong interpersonal skills are requisite.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Strong work ethic to complete tasks in a high-quality manner.
- Solid attention to detail with the ability to be a problem solver.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the director of Central Engineer and Quality Management and closely interacts with all levels of team members within the organization.
WORKING CONDIDIONS: Role will be site based, working on an active construction site. 70% of duties are performed in a temperature controlled, fluorescent-light environment, 30% of duties are performed in the field. Others impose 100% of deadlines. Some lifting between 0-20lbs is required.
