Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001:2015
  • Develop inspection plans for manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Analyze yield, scrap, rework, and defect trends to identify improvement opportunities
  • Lead root cause analysis sessions and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Oversee incoming inspection and guide quality control personnel
  • Collaborate with PCBA suppliers to drive performance and address supplier corrective actions (SCARs)
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including PFMEA, validation, and First Article Inspection (FAI)
  • Promote Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ)
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and present data-driven insights to stakeholders
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment on quality standards and practices

Quality Engineer – PCBA & Electro‑Mechanical Systems
Join a Teledyne Technologies business advancing defence and public safety missions through sensing, surveillance, and unmanned systems. As a Quality Engineer, you’ll help ensure the reliability of PCBA and electro‑mechanical products used in demanding environments. You’ll work across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to strengthen processes, drive defect reduction, and ensure audit‑ready compliance.
If you enjoy solving complex quality issues and leading data‑driven improvements, this is a hands‑on role with real mission impact.
What you’ll do
  • Maintain and improve a QMS aligned to ISO 9001:2015
  • Develop inspection plans for manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Analyse yield, scrap, rework, and defect trends to drive improvements
  • Lead root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, FTA) and manage CAPA/FACAR
  • Own incoming inspection and guide QC personnel
  • Partner with PCBA suppliers; drive SCARs and performance gains
  • Support NPI (PFMEA, validation, FAI)
  • Advance Lean/Six Sigma efforts and reduce COPQ
  • Track KPIs and present clear, data‑driven insights
  • Enable cross‑functional alignment on quality standards
What you need

  • Required: 5+ years in manufacturing/PCBA assembly quality
  • Required: Data‑driven mindset and effective cross‑functional communication

  • Advantage: ASQ CQE or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Advantage: IPC standards (A‑610, J‑STD‑001) and ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor certification
