  • Participate in audits and testing to ensure manufacturing readiness.
  • Analyze non-conformance trends and review corrective actions' effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and manage non-conformities using TAC's MRB process.

Full Job Description
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Working under minimal oversight by the Quality Manager or the Quality Engineer III, the Quality Engineer II is responsible for the generation of strategic planning to improve business processes and increase production output by overseeing the communication and maintenance of TAC's quality management systems, policies, documentation, data, and customer-specific requirements. The Quality Engineer II will also lead efforts in supporting the manufacturing process to ensure quality requirements are met, non-conformities are effectively evaluated, and corrective actions are implemented.

MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Represents quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and TAC Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and documentation
  • Provides quality interpretation of requirements
  • Develops quality metrics, design, and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements
  • Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities
  • Participate in analysis, tests, and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Evaluate and disposition non-conformities in accordance with TAC's MRB process
  • Recommends and develops corrective actions to address non-conformances


EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• A technical bachelor's degree (i.e. engineering, material science, or chemistry) is preferred, or at least 5 years of applicable work experience and demonstratable proficiency at the major duties above
• At least 3 years of experience working in quality ideally with composites manufacturing
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001standards preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English
• Able to work and communicate with multiple teams
• Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly, and safe manner
• Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment)

SALARY RANGE:

$80,000 - $105,000 DOE
