Job DescriptionQuality Control Technician opportunity with Traylor Bros., Inc!Position Summary:This position is accountable for assisting in inventory management, assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the QC Plan, assisting with QC/QA project management, and supporting technical staff.
Required SkillsKey Tasks and Responsibilities - Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields
- Plans and directs activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility
- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing the product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability
- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities
- May manage quality control program
- Inventory management
- Selecting the best techniques for a given process, determining the level of quality, and taking the appropriate steps to maintain or improve the quality of the process, if necessary
- Set up practices to monitor and control quality; however, other factors must be considered, such as effectiveness, cost, and productivity
- Apply substantive expertise during pre-bid, construction, and post-construction phases of a project by working with plants/materials, construction, sales and estimating teams to ensure quality standards and project profitability are achieved.
- Evaluate proposed courses of action for safety, contract compliance, and profitability and propose alternative courses of action where appropriate
- Comply with OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations in order to perform duties in a safe manner.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.

Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required
- 3 - 5 years of experience required
Physical Demands- Travel will be required to attend training and meetings.

- Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to speak, write, and understand English clearly.
Salary $85-$115k
