We are looking for a Quality Control & Testing Manager for our new Skid Assembly facility in Knightdale, NC. Relocation assistance is available.
Overview:
We're looking for a Quality Control & Testing Manager to lead the quality function for this greenfield operation. This is a unique opportunity to establish quality systems, drive ISO certification, and create a culture of operational excellence from the ground up.
Impact:
In this role, you will:
Lead the quality and testing organization for a new Siemens manufacturing facility
Establish ISO-certified quality systems and scalable processes for the facility
Drive continuous improvement, defect prevention, and customer satisfaction
Ensure successful testing and validation of integrated solutions
Help shape the plant culture, standards, and long-term operational strategy
Responsibilities:
Lead daily quality inspection and testing operations
Develop and maintain quality management systems, inspections, tool tracking and calibration and testing protocols
Prepare the facility for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification
Lead internal audits, corrective actions, and root cause investigations
Drive quality performance through KPIs, yield improvement, defect reduction, and cost-of-quality initiatives
Support production teams through daily Tier and GEMBA engagements
Partner with Supplier Quality to improve incoming quality and supplier performance
Oversee NCRs, RMAs, and customer quality concerns
Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence with emphasis on Siemens' Zero Harm safety culture

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
5+ years of quality engineering, quality management, testing, or manufacturing quality experience
Experience implementing and maintaining quality management systems and ISO standards
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Understanding of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes
Experience with structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
Knowledge of manufacturing measurement and testing equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electrical testing of low-voltage power and control systems (similar or equivalent to NFPA CESCP)
Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, protection systems, power distribution, BESS, or renewable energy applications
Experience with APQP, AS9145, 8D, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies, e.g. ASQ certification
Software application knowledge including SieOps, Salesforce, SAP, and MS Teams
6S methodology knowledge and certification
Experience in metal fabrication, electrical assembly, or industrial manufacturing environments
