Position Description: We are seeking an experienced QA Lead - Automation & Agile Delivery with strong hands-on test automation expertise and proven experience working within Agile, squad-based delivery environments.
The successful candidate will lead end-to-end quality engineering activities, define and drive the test automation strategy, and work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, Architects, and other delivery partners to ensure high-quality and reliable releases.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong combination of automation engineering, Agile delivery, quality strategy, stakeholder management, and team mentorship.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Lead end-to-end QA and quality engineering activities across one or more Agile delivery squads.
Define and implement test strategies, test approaches, quality plans, and automation roadmaps.
Partner with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Architects during refinement, sprint planning, solution design, and release planning.
Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure testability and appropriate test coverage.
Lead functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and automated test suites.
Increase automation coverage and reduce manual regression testing through an automation-first approach.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback.
Analyze automation failures, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform root-cause analysis in partnership with development teams.
Lead defect triage and ensure defects are appropriately prioritized, tracked, and resolved.
Monitor quality metrics, testing progress, defect trends, risks, and dependencies and communicate status to stakeholders.
Mentor QA engineers and provide technical guidance on automation frameworks, testing practices, and quality engineering.
Promote shift-left testing, early defect detection, and shared quality ownership across Agile squads.
Continuously improve QA processes, automation frameworks, test data management, and overall testing efficiency.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 4+ years of QA/Quality Engineering experience, including experience in a Senior QA or QA Lead capacity.
Strong hands-on test automation experience using Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
Strong API testing and automation experience using REST Assured, Postman/Newman, Karate, or similar tools.
Hands-on programming/scripting experience with Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong understanding of automation framework design, reusable components, test data management, and test reporting.
They should be comfortable designing and developing automation, leading quality activities within Agile squads, mentoring QA engineers, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders, and driving continuous improvements in automation and overall software quality.
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
Proven experience delivering QA activities within Agile/Scrum squad-based environments.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile testing practices, and defect management.
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and team leadership skills.

Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000-$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy."
