Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities with the GPPS expansion project team in ITD and Purchasing.
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement new system modules and oversee successful UAT.
  • Ensure synergy and standardization of purchasing systems across regions.
  • Communicate project status updates as necessary.
  • Adhere to established purchasing procedures during the transition process.
  • Provide training to end-users within the Purchasing department.
  • Support the daily functions of the Purchasing Business Systems team.

Requisition Summary

This position is part of the Business Systems group in PACCAR Purchasing. The Purchasing System's Manager's role is to provide business systems expertise and support to implement the PACCAR Purchasing System modernization roadmap.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Provide business process and commodity expertise to the PACCAR Purchasing System modernization project. Candidates will interface with ITD and Purchasing personnel in NA and EU to ensure business processes are documented, transferred and enabled in the new GPPS environment. Candidates will identify best practices globally and incorporate those in the project deliverables and in the Business Systems roadmap. This position requires an experienced Purchasing professional that has commodity experience and business systems knowledge.

Daily activities in support of this mission include:
  • Coordination of activities with GPPS expansion project team (ITD and Purchasing NA & EU).
  • Coordinate with the project team to implement new modules and ensure UAT is performed successfully.
  • Coordinate with teams for synergy and standardization of systems (with ITD and EU).
  • Communicate Project status updates as needed.
  • Ensure Purchasing procedures are followed throughout the transition.
  • Provide training to Purchasing users
  • Support day-to-day activities of the Purchasing Business Systems team


Qualifications & Skills
  • 7+ years of work experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Commodity Management and Purchasing processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business partners globally.
  • Knowledge of PACCAR Purchasing System (SAP SRM).
  • Knowledge of Project Management.
  • Creative, quality and results-driven work ethic.
  • Demonstrated leadership to incorporate and deploy best practices globally.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, & presentation.
  • Advanced PC skills required (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint).
  • Able to travel as needed (Domestic and International)


Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field is Required.
  • Masters or MBA preferred.

The salary range for the Purchasing System Manager - Manufacturing Support Services is $104,100 -$162,900 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
