Purchasing Manager
Miltec Manufacturing - Join a Team Where Your Impact Is Felt on Every Product We Manufacture
Purchasing Manager| Location: On-site | Status: Full-Time
Why This Role MattersEvery product Miltec ships starts with the materials you secure. As our Purchasing Manager, you won't be a back-office order-taker - you'll be the strategist behind our supply chain, the relationship-builder who keeps production running smoothly, and the negotiator who directly protects our bottom line. If you take pride in turning supplier networks into competitive advantages, this is the role where your decisions are visible every single day.
What You'll Own- Supply strategy. Develop, evaluate, and expand a portfolio of qualified, reliable suppliers - including secondary sources that keep production running no matter what.
- Cost and quality outcomes. Drive price comparison analysis and vendor performance reviews that deliver real savings without compromising quality.
- On-time delivery. Build and run an effective expediting program so open purchase orders arrive when we need them.
- Smart inventory. Partner closely with the Materials Team and Production Planning to keep components and packaging flowing at the lowest possible inventory levels - no shortages, no buildups.
- Supplier relationships. Own supplier communications end to end: negotiating cost, resolving quality concerns, and keeping deliveries on schedule.
- Continuous improvement. Identify and recommend improvements that strengthen the entire supply chain operation.
- Team leadership. Supervise and develop our Purchasing Buyers.
- Cross-functional problem solving. Resolve procurement discrepancies by partnering with Accounts Payable, suppliers, and internal teams on invoice reconciliation.
