Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Psychotherapist II provides psychotherapeutic services for a caseload of patients with acutely complex needs. Responsible for assessment, treatment planning and provision of psychotherapeutic services to a defined caseload of patients and may also support the facilitation of groups. Employs evidence-based psychological treatment interventions and provides case management services as needed. Services are primarily clinic-based, but some field work is expected, depending on the needs of the program or individual clients. This position works with other team members to support access to overall services. This position is also responsible for supporting partnerships designed to enhance the availability of services care at CHLA and at external partners.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: Required:- 2+ years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and/or their families/caregivers.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Valid CA Driver's License and proof of insurance required for positions requiring field-based services.
Preferred:- Experience in health care setting.
- Experience working in health care settings and with children, adolescents, and families.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Required:- Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology with previous experience in a child, adolescent, or family mental health setting.
- Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Preferred:- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Pay Scale Information $90,334.40-$120,432.00CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
