Job DescriptionCordial Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or
Physician Assistant (PA) with psychiatric experience to provide on-site behavioral health care throughout
Tampa Bay, Florida.
This full-time opportunity offers meaningful clinical work, provider autonomy and extensive support from an experienced behavioral health team. You will serve adult and geriatric residents while helping improve emotional well-being, behavioral stability and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, consultations and follow-up visits
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Prescribe, monitor and adjust psychotropic medications
- Evaluate treatment response, medication effectiveness and side effects
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers, residents and families
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Educate residents, caregivers and staff regarding diagnoses, medications and behavioral interventions
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed and resident-centered care
- Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation
Requirements- Board-certified PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant with significant psychiatric experience
- Active and unrestricted Florida professional license
- Active DEA registration required
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology and treatment planning
- Ability to manage a psychiatric caseload independently
- Excellent communication, organization and clinical-reasoning skills
- Geriatric, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care or post-acute experience preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required
