Full Job Description
Job Purpose:

This position is a mid-level actuarial position with significant independence to perform analysis and develop solutions to actuarial issues with limited direction. The primary purpose is to assist actuaries in the pricing of Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Code and execute proprietary PRT pricing model for initial premium valuations
  • Code and execute PRT pricing model for premium recalculations
  • Help to maintain and improve the PRT pricing model and other processes
  • Execute more complicated participant benefit calculations, including QDROs, death benefits and late retirements. Review standard calculations
  • Draft and review PRT contract language
  • Support the growing PRT product through special projects
  • If applicable, actively pursue actuarial accreditation. Maintains good standing in the actuarial student program.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics or a related field or equivalent professional related work experience


  • Four-plus years of experience in actuarial setting with progressive responsibilities
  • ASA/ACAS Level or equivalent
  • Pension experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to interact with other functional areas as required.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, produce accurate results and develop self-validation skills. Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.

Base Salary Range:
$108,100.00 - $162,200.00
