RS&H is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support our Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) programs across Texas. In this role, you will develop, review, and analyze Primavera P6 Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules while providing both prospective and forensic schedule analysis to support successful project delivery. The Project Scheduler will lead reviews of baseline schedules, validating logic, durations, calendars, and critical path activities; perform detailed analyses of monthly schedule updates; and prepare comprehensive schedule review and status reports identifying schedule risks, delays, conflicts, and recommended mitigation strategies. Working closely with project teams and field staff, you will verify construction progress, reconcile schedule updates against actual field conditions and Daily Work Reports, and ensure schedule accuracy. Additionally, you will support advanced scheduling analyses, including Time Impact Analyses (TIA), evaluation of revised construction sequencing, weather-related impacts, and coordination with adjacent projects, delivering actionable insights to both project teams and clients.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–10 years of experience in CPM scheduling for construction projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of CPM principles, construction sequencing, logic development, and schedule analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TxDOT specifications, particularly Item 8 (Prosecution & Progress).
- Experience with Claim Digger, Acumen Fuse, or similar analytics tools.
- Familiarity with CEI or transportation construction projects.
- Experience performing forensic schedule analyses and Time Impact Analyses.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to interpret and analyze contractor schedules and identify risk drivers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong coordination skills with multidisciplinary project teams.
Work Environment & Logistics
- Remote position with proximity to Texas hub offices (Houston, Austin, Dallas) preferred.
- Periodic travel to project sites and client offices (approximately 10–25%).
- Work may involve active construction sites and outdoor conditions during field visits.
