Full Job Description
Project Manager

Denver, CO

Position Summary:

The Project Manager leads cross-functional projects and initiatives from concept through implementation and transition, owning project scope, schedule, resources, budget, risks, communication, and delivery outcomes. Partners with Sponsors, department leaders, and project team members to translate business needs into clear project plans, drive decisions, remove roadblocks, and deliver measurable business value. Operates with a strong ownership mindset by providing informed recommendations, challenging unclear direction or scope when appropriate, and keeping initiatives moving forward rather than simply coordinating activity.

Essential Functions

Project Planning & Delivery
  • Lead assigned projects and initiatives through the full project lifecycle, from intake and charter development through planning, execution, implementation, transition, and closeout.
  • Define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, milestones, schedules, budgets, resource needs, and success measures in partnership with Sponsors and project leads.
  • Develop and maintain actionable project plans, monitor tasks and cross-functional dependencies, and manage approved changes to scope, schedule, resources, or deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing work and driving timely, high-quality delivery within established commitments.

Stakeholder Leadership & Communication
  • Serve as the primary liaison among Sponsors, department leaders, project team members, and other stakeholders to establish alignment, clarify requirements, and maintain accountability.
  • Plan and facilitate effective project meetings, including agendas, decisions, action items, meeting notes, and follow-up; drive resolution rather than simply documenting status.
  • Prepare and deliver clear project summaries and executive-ready status updates covering progress, milestones, budget, risks, issues, decisions, and recommended solutions.
  • Build credibility across functions, manage conflict constructively, and appropriately challenge scope creep, unclear direction, or competing priorities to protect project outcomes.

Risk, Change & Quality Management
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively; evaluate impacts and partner with the project team to develop practical mitigation or contingency plans.
  • Remove roadblocks before they affect project momentum, recommend a path forward when problems arise, and escalate issues at the appropriate level when resolution requires additional support.
  • Lead project quality assurance by confirming requirements, deliverables, and acceptance criteria are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Execute project change management activities, supporting stakeholder readiness, implementation, transition to the business, and adoption or benefits tracking after launch.

PMO Governance & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain project documentation, reporting, and communication in accordance with PMO standards, governance requirements, established cadence, and approved tools.
  • Apply project management standards consistently while exercising sound judgment regarding when process adjustments, exceptions, or escalation may be appropriate.
  • Evaluate PMO processes, templates, and tools and recommend improvements that increase visibility, efficiency, stakeholder experience, and project outcomes.
  • Provide project management consultation and support for smaller cross-functional or interdepartmental initiatives and contribute to broader PMO portfolio visibility and priorities.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of progressively responsible project management experience, including direct responsibility for leading projects through planning, execution, implementation, and closeout. Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedules, risks, stakeholders, and delivery outcomes required. Experience managing multiple concurrent, cross-functional initiatives strongly preferred.

Education & Licenses / Certifications (if applicable):
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Project Management, or a related field strongly preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant project management experience may be considered.
  • PMP, CAPM, or other recognized project management certification preferred. PMP certification strongly preferred for candidates with significant project management experience.

Key Competencies:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects spanning multiple departments from initiation through implementation and transition.
  • Strong project planning, risk management, time management, problem-solving, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready reporting; ability to influence without direct authority, managing competing priorities, and delivering results within tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of change management practices and sound judgment in determining when to follow established processes versus recommending an exception or escalation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams) and project/portfolio management tools; experience with Monday.com and HubSpot is a plus.

COMPENSATION: $95,000 - 100,000 + 10% annual bonus opportunity
