Full Job Description
RVA is looking for a Project Manager, Water and Wastewater Pumping Stations and Outstations to join their Water and Land Development team in a full-time permanent position in our newly opened location in Barrie.

Duties:
  • Project Management of Wastewater, Water and Municipal pumping station projects including scope, schedule, risk and budget.
  • Providing project engineering and technical expertise, analysis, and design services.
  • Participating in studies, assessments, preliminary and detailed design, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, tendering and contract administration.
  • Providing senior review and professional authentication of memos, reports, drawings, and other engineering documents.
  • Preparing proposals and reports.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, and contractors.
  • Participating in Business Development initiatives and managing client relationships.
  • Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules, and deliverables to execute high quality projects on time and on budget.
  • Working closely with engineers, designers, drafting and support staff.
  • Mentoring and coaching project teams including technical and field staff.
  • Other duties as assigned and appropriate for this position.

Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) within the province of Ontario, or eligibility for registration in Ontario.
  • Project management (PMP) designation considered an asset.
  • 8+ years progressive experience in design engineering of sewage pumping stations, booster pumping stations and outstations for municipal and private developer clients.
  • Consulting industry experience and specific experience working with municipalities and private developer clients in Southern Ontario is a strong asset.
  • Practical knowledge of construction sequencing and constructability.
  • 5 years progressive experience in project management.
  • Proven capabilities in preparing reports, specifications and tender documents.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and administration.
  • Experienced in meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, business/client development and other skills appropriate to consulting.
  • Proven, advanced level Excel skills and a proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written.
  • Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Familiar with local design and construction standards and requirements for permits and approvals

Compensation Range

The salary range for this position is: $85,000-$135,000

Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
