This is a hybrid position that can be located in either Denver, CO or Coppell, TX.

Job Summary

The Strategic Program Management Office (SPMO) manages the strategic planning, execution, and measurement processes for Pulte Financial Services including Pulte Mortgage, PGP Title, and Pulte Insurance Agency. As a Project Manager in the SPMO, you will manage strategic business programs and projects by bringing clarity to a business challenge, building consensus on how to meet that challenge, and driving the delivery of a solution. This includes hands-on research, analysis, planning, and design activities to support a wide array of projects in a collaborative, dynamic environment.

This position interacts with stakeholder from all levels and functional areas in the organization, including business executives, management, end users, Agile technology delivery teams, and support organizations. The candidate should work well with minimal supervision and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead discovery efforts, including case for change, vision, solution alternatives, scope & approach, and cost/benefit of projects.
  • Develop business cases, measure benefits, and drive benefits realization. Perform key data analysis functions or leverage data analysis resources.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs, align on solutions, and manage issues and risks.
  • Define project plans and deliverables to most efficiently and effectively meet project objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Lead project teams through solution design deliverables including business process design, requirements, vendor selection, organization design, or business capability design. Also responsible for completing select deliverables.
  • Perform change management, communication planning, and implementation planning activities.
  • Collaborate with technology partners and 3rd parties as needed, to translate business needs into system requirements.
  • Manage activities for strategic projects across multiple departments and suppliers.
  • Report progress to project sponsor and other executives.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required


Required Licensing, Registration, and/or Certifications
  • PMP certification or equivalent understanding of project management principles and theories
  • Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred but not required


Required Experience/Skills/Knowledge
  • 5+ years of experience in a project environment especially in the areas of strategy development, envisioning, process design, business performance measurement, information technology or management consulting.
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects with full responsibility for all project management aspects including planning, business case development, communication and stakeholder management, resource management, requirements, design, change management, and implementation.
  • 3+ years of experience in residential mortgage lending.
  • Deep written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to structure messaging for a wide range of stakeholders. High proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
  • Data analysis skills including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new things quickly, develop subject matter expertise, and adapt to a variety of project scenarios.


Salary Range: $105,000 to $130,000 annually depending upon experience.

This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.

In addition to up to 9 paid company holidays per year, employees are eligible for up to 6 days of sick pay. Moreover, eligible employees with less than 10 years of service can accrue up to 17 PTO days per year (and up to 22 PTO days per year upon 10 or more years of service). Employees are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Plan. Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage. Employees are covered by company-paid disability, basic life insurance and parental leave. Voluntary insurance coverage options, including critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity, are also available. In addition, the Company offers an Employee Assistance Program and tuition reimbursement (as applicable). Employees may also be eligible for state required benefits such as paid family and medical leave insurance and/or paid sick time as applicable.
