Job Title: Project Manager - MEP Engineering Design

Responsibilities
• Manage various types of engineering design projects within the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) discipline, serving as the project lead when interfacing with clients and design teams.
• Establish project teams, complete initiation documents including Scope of Work, PSBS, Budget, and Storyboard.
• Coordinate with Finance & Accounting to ensure proper setup in Costpoint for billing and compliance prior to project kick-off.
• Conduct project Kick-Off meetings, ensuring dissemination of project details such as Scope of Work, Deliverables, Schedule, and Budget Hours.
• Map out project scope, allocate staff resources, and execute contractual agreements following EKFox guidelines.
• Oversee resource planning, cost estimating, budgeting, and cost control to maximize project efficiency and profitability.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to manage expectations and project progress.
• Maintain current project status systems, document actions, and manage project quality in line with EKFox standards.
• Lead project team from initiation through completion, ensuring all members are appropriately utilized.
• Perform post-project reviews to evaluate client satisfaction, financial performance, staffing, and lessons learned.
• Manage client relationships, seeking new project opportunities and providing regular updates to clients.
• Oversee business/fiscal management, including invoicing, project status reporting, and accounts receivable in accordance with EKFox policies.
• Supervise and evaluate project team members, assigning duties based on skills and project needs.
• Lead and support team members' development, ensuring continuous improvement and effective communication.
Requirements
• A 4 Year College Degree (Engineering, Construction, or Facilities related) or 10+ years of experience managing AEC (Architectural/Engineering/Construction) related projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with cost and financial accounting standards, methodologies, and metrics.
• Strong staffing and resource management skills aligned with SOW requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• A desire to learn and grow professionally.
Preferred Experience
• Top Secret Clearance or eligibility for one.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by PMI.
• Knowledge of multiple technical areas through cross-discipline training.
• Working knowledge of the FAR and government contracting.
• Experience in proposal and budget/cost development, especially in government contracting.
