SUMMARYPartner is seeking a Project Manager (Electrical) to support our Integrated Facility Solutions (IFS) Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing Engineering (MEP) practice managing projects according to deadlines and within budget, drafting proposal scopes, consulting with clients and coordinating internal staff to perform MEP projects, with a primary emphasis on electrical system assessments, design oversight, and technical QA/QC for commercial and industrial facilities. Project management responsibilities also include planning, executing, reviewing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget. Position includes some responsibility for mentoring junior-level staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct project research as applicable to the scope of work (historical, analytical, etc.).
- Consult with clients during the proposal phase and draft proposal scopes.
- Assist the internal sales team with client management and project scope needs.
- Perform and/or oversee electrical system condition assessments (power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding).
- Review and coordinate electrical drawings, one-lines, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, local AHJs).
- Provide technical QA/QC review of electrical deliverables.
- Support electrical scope development for PCA/FCA, due diligence, and capital planning efforts.
- Conducting site reconnaissance, if necessary.
- Data compilation and organization.
- Technical report authoring.
- Preparation of quality supporting report documents/files
- Maintain communication with team members throughout the course of the project.
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule.
- Understands the assessment's potential impact on the Owner/Operator.
- Identify and resolve issues with projects.
- Deliver appropriate progress reports (verbally or by email) to the client.
- Coordinate and respond to requests for changes in project scope.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES- Strong understanding of commercial electrical distribution systems
- Ability to evaluate system capacity, redundancy, and remaining useful life
- Experience interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication skills (internal and external)
- Ability to work on projects concurrently
- Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
- Exceptional writing skills
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
- Understand concepts of building component life cycles, system condition evaluation, and replacement costs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Familiar with the basic principles of Facility Condition Assessments and Real Estate Due Diligence Services (i.e., Phase I ESA, Property Conditions Assessments, etc.)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - Provides assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers.
- Mentors junior-level staff and provides technical review of MEP.
- May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance/management, construction, consulting, condition assessments, or related industry
- Projects involve a degree of travel. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and provide their own transportation to and from project sites
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
- Requires the ability to climb a ladder
COMPENSATION The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000 to $110,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
