POSITION OVERVIEW: As a
Project Manager at LJA
Land Development, you will be responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating engineering for a wide variety of land development projects including residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, resort, recreation, infrastructure, and attraction of various types and sizes, some of which may have unique or controversial conditions.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:- Project coordination from inception to completion, including due diligence, planning, entitlements, civil engineering design, regulatory permitting and approvals through local, state, and federal permitting agencies and construction administration support.
- Project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, coordination of outside consultants, project tracking and project billing.
- Preparing and overseeing civil engineering design for site geometry, grading, drainage, roadway, water distribution, wastewater collection/transmission, parks, and other civil improvements.
- Preparing and overseeing development of design drawings, technical specifications, reports, cost estimates and other project deliverables.
- Analyzing technical information, performing engineering calculations, and advancing design concepts into effective and financially feasible engineering designs.
- Authoring technical reports such as due diligence reports, feasibility reports, design reports, and technical memoranda
- Providing technical support throughout all project stages from request for proposal through final design and construction.
- Serving as Engineer of Record for various projects and/or project tasks.
- Preparing and participating in client meetings and presentations.
- Providing leadership and guidance for project engineers and design technicians.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field.
- Professional Engineering license.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Minimum 8 years' progressive experience in design and management of land development projects.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Highly organized with good time management skills.
- Sufficient familiarity with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil3D,
