Posting Details

The Project Manager II leads project teams through proactive communication and coordination with clients, internal staff, and sub-consultants to maintain alignment on project objectives, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. While technical production involvement may still occur as needed, the primary focus is project leadership, financial management, client relationship management, and successful project execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Independently leads project teams to successful completion of quality deliverables
  • Manages project quality, budget, schedule, and profitability.
  • Leads proposal development and project interview efforts.
  • Participates in and contributes to pursuit strategies.
  • Communicates effectively with internal teams, clients, and sub-consultants.
  • Develops, leads and mentors staff to support team and project success.
  • Contributes to business development and repeat client opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10 - 12 + years progressively responsible experience
  • BS in civil in engineering or related discipline required
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) license required; or PE in another state with the ability to obtain CA Licensure within one year
  • Demonstrated proficiency in engineering and design principles, project management practices, and project delivery processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management fundamentals, including budgeting, scheduling, project financials, and performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success in managing professional relationships with clients and internal team members.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and team management, delegation and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of overall project deliverable processes (PSR, PAED, PS&E, Construction Support)
  • Demonstrated understanding of business development practices and client relationship management strategies
  • Verified experience winning small- to mid-size standalone pursuits, with either repeat or new clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of project financials and metrics
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of unique and diverse people and personalities
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
