Project Manager II to join our
Project Managementteam located at our headquarters in
Granite City, IL. Our ideal candidate for a
Project Manager II is someone with
2-5 years of experience who will be proficient at managing all phases of mechanical construction to ensure project standards, budget, deadlines and communications are maintained. This individual is responsible for project success.
Primary responsibilities for icon's Project Manager II include:- Review, process, organize, log and distribute Contract Documents (drawings, submittals, specifications, schedules, RFIs, change order log, Construction Bulletins, etc.) and shop drawings/submittals to appropriate team members (e.g. icon project team, subcontractors, fab shop and vendors).
- Coordinate with Project Coordinator to log all construction documents (i.e. closeout documentation, Operation and Maintenance manuals, warranty letters, record drawings and attic stock).
- Ensure jobsite safety compliance by conducting site inspections, coordinating high-risk activities and safety logistics, enforcing site-specific safety requirements, and collaborating with safety personnel to develop and maintain effective safety programs.
- Oversee field installation of mechanical, plumbing, and specialty systems through regular site visits, ensuring work is executed in accordance with project plans, specifications, approved submittals, and RFIs.
- Manage subcontractor performance by defining scopes of work, coordinating contracts and schedule activities, administering changes, and ensuring compliance with contractual, project, and DBE/MBE requirements.
- Develop and manage project schedules by coordinating engineering deliverables, providing mechanical scope input, collaborating with project teams and P6 schedulers, and driving weekly work plans to maintain project milestones.
- Coordinate labor, material, and equipment resources by managing manpower requirements, monitoring labor productivity, aligning workforce strategies with field leadership, and overseeing logistics with vendors, purchasing, warehouse, and shop personnel.
- Manage project financial performance by utilizing job cost and cash flow reporting tools to track budgets, identify risks, monitor costs, and provide accurate financial updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee project accounting activities by managing payables and receivables, approving invoices, coordinating cost changes with subcontractors and vendors, generating billing schedules, and maintaining positive project cash flow.
- Build and maintain client relationships by recognizing and referring opportunities for clients to senior leadership onsite.
Primary qualifications for icon's Project manager II include:- 2 -5 years as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or proven working experience in Construction Management is required.
- Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Viewpoint, ProCore, ACC Build, and BlueBeam.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems and construction practices to effectively interpret project documents and support successful project delivery.
- Familiarity with construction management platforms - overall strong computer skills are preferred.
- Working knowledge of P6 or Microsoft Project and willingness to learn.
- Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills.

- Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with changing priorities.
- Able to work with groups and utilize the individual strengths, diverse skills, and perspectives of the team members to reach the common end goal.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:- Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000
