Overview

As a Project Manager II, you will lead high-visibility, cross-functional initiatives that support the Bank's technology modernization, business transformation, operational excellence, regulatory priorities, and long-term growth strategy. You'll play a critical role in bringing complex projects to life, guiding them from concept and planning through implementation and successful adoption.

 

In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner to business leaders, technology teams, risk and compliance partners, vendors, and executive stakeholders. You will help shape project strategies, define requirements, manage risks and dependencies, coordinate resources, and ensure successful delivery while driving alignment across multiple teams.This position offers the opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of initiatives, including technology implementations, process improvement efforts, operational enhancements, regulatory projects, and strategic business initiatives. Enterprise Project Leadership

  • Lead assigned initiatives through EagleBank’s project governance and delivery lifecycle.
  • Manage projects from intake through planning, execution, implementation, operational handoff, closure, and post-implementation review.
  • Partner with sponsors and business owners to define scope, objectives, benefits, deliverables, success measures, governance, and decision rights.
  • Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource plans, dependencies, decision logs, risk and issue registers, and communication plans.
  • Establish accountability and escalate risks, issues, decisions, constraints, scope changes, and budget or schedule variances.

Technology and Systems Delivery

  • Manage technology projects involving applications, infrastructure, system implementations, upgrades, integrations, data conversion, cybersecurity, digital capabilities, and vendor solutions.
  • Coordinate work across business, technology, information security, data, risk, vendor, and user teams.
  • Translate business objectives into clear business, functional, technical, data, security, integration, reporting, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate design, configuration, testing, defect resolution, data readiness, implementation, training, deployment, stabilization, and support handoff.

Business, Operational, and Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead business transformation, process improvement, product, customer experience, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Facilitate current-state assessments and future-state design sessions.
  • Document business processes, requirements, controls, roles, impacts, and implementation needs.
  • Convert strategic objectives into clear workstreams, milestones, deliverables, outcomes, and executive reporting.

Project Tools, Planning, and Reporting

  • Maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, resources, and status updates in Jira, BigPicture, and other approved tools.
  • Build dashboards and reports that show project health, progress, capacity, dependencies, and items requiring attention.
  • Prepare status reports and governance materials covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, readiness, and outcomes.
  • Present project status, decisions, options, and recommendations to sponsors, senior leaders, and governance committees.

Stakeholder and Vendor Management

  • Build strong working relationships with sponsors, business owners, technology leaders, risk partners, vendors, and project teams.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, requirements discussions, executive updates, risk reviews, and decision forums.
  • Provide clear updates on progress, milestones, budget, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and required actions.
  • Manage vendor deliverables, commitments, dependencies, implementation activities, and escalations with business and contract owners.
  • Explain technical and business information clearly to operational teams, technical resources, senior leaders, and governance committees.

Risk, Governance, and Controls

  • Ensure assigned initiatives follow project governance, documentation, approval, and risk-management requirements.
  • Coordinate with risk, compliance, legal, information security, finance, procurement, audit, and operations as needed.
  • Build risk, control, regulatory, privacy, security, finance, and operational-readiness activities into project plans.
  • Maintain accurate project records to support transparency, accountability, governance reviews, and audit readiness.
  • Coach sponsors, business owners, workstream leads, and team members on project governance and delivery expectations.
  • Support training on project frameworks, tools, templates, and governance; mentor Project Manager I employees as assigned.
  • Improve EPMO processes, standards, templates, reporting, and delivery practices.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 6 years Independently managing complex, cross-functional projects through the full project lifecycle
  • 3 years Managing business transformation, operational improvement, or strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors and coordinating business and technology resources
  • Presenting project health, risks, decisions, and recommendations to senior leaders or governance committees
  • Strong understanding of project management, governance, and full lifecycle delivery.
  • Ability to use predictive, agile, iterative, or hybrid delivery methods based on project needs.
  • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate between business objectives, operational needs, and technical requirements.
  • Strong business-analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
  • Working knowledge of system implementation, integration, data conversion, testing, deployment, cybersecurity, access, and operational handoff.

Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Project management, business administration, information systems, technology, finance, operations, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3 years Managing technology implementations, system enhancements, integrations, or technology-enabled business initiatives
  • 4 years Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry
  • Demonstrated Experience Using Jira and/or BigPicture to manage plans, workflows, backlogs, milestones, dependencies, risks, resources, dashboards, and reporting
  • Demonstrated Experience Using project and portfolio management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or comparable platforms
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Certified ScrumMaster, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, or comparable agile certification
  • Business analysis, process improvement, or change-management certification
  • Strong skills in managing risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, scope, schedule, budget, resources, and change control.
  • Proficiency with Jira and/or BigPicture for planning, work tracking, dependencies, resources, risks, issues, dashboards, and portfolio reporting.
  • Ability to keep project data, dashboards, workflows, and reports accurate and consistent.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and project or portfolio management tools.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills.
