Position Summary
Commercial Contracting Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Manager II - Concrete Self-Perform Services to manage industrial and commercial concrete construction projects. This role oversees structural concrete, foundations, formwork, rebar coordination, concrete placement, and finishing operations while leading project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, subcontractor management, and project execution.
The successful candidate will have experience delivering self-perform concrete projects within industrial construction, manufacturing, mission-critical, data center, or heavy commercial construction environments. Projects may range from approximately $25,000 to $30 million and require collaboration with field operations, clients, engineers, subcontractors, and executive leadership. Travel may be required.
Essential Responsibilities
Project Management & Construction Operations
- Manage all phases of concrete construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Lead project planning, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and cost control efforts.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
- Support project buyouts, procurement activities, contract administration, and change order management.
- Maintain project schedules using construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Monitor project performance to ensure safety, quality, financial, and schedule objectives are achieved.
Concrete Self-Perform Construction
- Oversee self-perform concrete operations including:
- Structural concrete
- Concrete foundations
- Reinforced concrete systems
- Flatwork
- Formwork systems
- Rebar coordination
- Concrete placement
- Concrete finishing
- Curing operations
- Coordinate with field supervision to maximize labor productivity and operational efficiency.
- Monitor labor, equipment, and material budgets for concrete construction activities.
- Support the successful execution of industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, and commercial construction projects.
Safety & Quality
- Champion CCC's safety-first culture and commitment to protecting employees and trade partners.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and site-specific safety standards.
- Collaborate with site safety personnel to support safe execution of all construction activities.
- Promote quality control and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Controls & Documentation
- Manage project documentation including:
- RFIs
- Submittals
- Shop drawing reviews
- Daily reports
- Change orders
- Punch lists
- Closeout documentation
- Support forecasting and construction project controls processes.
- Ensure documentation aligns with project schedules and contractual obligations.
- Assist with successful project turnover and client closeout requirements.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead project coordination with field operations, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Mentor project engineers, field staff, and emerging construction leaders.
- Facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, and safety discussions.
- Build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.
- Support onboarding and professional development initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 9-12 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager managing self-perform concrete, structural concrete, foundation, industrial construction, or commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Concrete construction
- Cast-in-place concrete

- Concrete placement and finishing
- Foundation construction
- Construction means and methods
- Experience within industrial construction, manufacturing construction, mission-critical construction, data center construction, heavy commercial construction, or large-scale capital projects.

- Proficiency with construction management software such as:
- Procore
- Sage 300
- Primavera P6
- Microsoft Project
- Tekla
- Proven leadership experience managing field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
- Experience working for a General Contractor, Construction Manager, or Design-Build contractor preferred.
Work Environment
- Active industrial and commercial construction sites.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and construction environments.
- Frequent interaction with field operations, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Travel between project locations as needed.
- Extended hours may be required during critical project phases.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Ability to walk, stand, and navigate active construction sites for extended periods.
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary to support project milestones.
- Ability to comply with all site safety requirements and safely navigate construction environments.
