Project Manager - Steel

Minimum 2 Years experience as a Project Manager

The ideal candidates should have Project Engineering experience specifically with structural steel.

Requirements of the Project Manager
  • A bachelor s degree in a complementary technical discipline or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of project management experience or five (5) years of overall experience within the construction industry serving either steel fabrication or steel erection sectors
  • Experience managing projects with multiple delivery methods ranging from $500K $400M
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to perform domestic travel up to one (1) year
  • Skilled in software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Oracle Primavera (Prolog or Viewpoint experience is preferred), Tekla, and SDS2

Responsibilities of the Project Manager
  • Accountable for overall safety, quality, schedule, profitability, and customer satisfaction on assigned projects
  • Establish and oversee the safety plan and enforce a strong safety culture at assigned sites
  • Write and/or manage all contracts with customers, subcontractors, and design professionals
  • Manage the monthly payment application process
  • Support job site cost management, including monitoring job profitability
  • Supervise and mentor project job site staff
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with prime owner contacts and architects to facilitate existing and potential construction activities
  • Lead and conduct investigations as needed and implement the appropriate corrective actions
