Project Manager II to join our
Electric Transmission Team in
Albany, NY; Syracuse, NY; or Rochester, NY. In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary projects supporting the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of electric overhead transmission systems.
What You'll Do:- Manage electric overhead transmission projects from planning and design through delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with contract requirements
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while developing a clear understanding of project goals, technical needs, and expectations
- Coordinate project scopes, schedules, budgets, deliverables, approvals, and quality controls across multidisciplinary teams
- Manage contracts, purchase orders, project documentation, and ongoing coordination with clients, regulators, and subcontractors
- Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management, while ensuring timely payments and accurate reporting
- Lead monthly project review meetings, communicating progress and updates to clients, management, and project teams
- Develop and implement health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, quality standards, and permitting requirements
- Support proposal development, identify new business opportunities, and help expand CHA's electric overhead transmission services
What You Bring:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or a related field required
- Minimum of 7 years of industry experience required, including 4 years of project management experience
- Proven ability to manage project accounting processes (budgeting, forecasts, and cash management) as well as prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, understanding contract requirements, and overseeing multiple concurrent projects
- Experience with Microsoft Office required; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek VantagePoint preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt style for various audiences
- Experience leveraging problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Ability to travel as needed and work collaboratively with technical teams
- Consulting experience preferred
- PMP, PE or equivalent professional license preferred

Salary Range:$115,000 - $130,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
