Full Job Description
We arecurrently seeking a Project Manager, Environmental Engineer or Geologist to work in a technical project manager role with highly skilled professionalson diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellentopportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a varietyof projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time, local hybridposition located in our Walnut Creek, CA; Oakland, CA; or San Jose, CA office.

In this role, you will manage and execute complexenvironmental projects throughout the Bay Area, with an emphasis on remedialinvestigations, site characterization, remediation, and regulatory compliance.You will lead multidisciplinary teams and be accountable for project scope,schedule, budget, technical quality, and health and safety performance. Youwill also interpret environmental and geologic data, develop conceptual sitemodels, prepare regulatory deliverables, and maintain effective relationshipswith clients, subcontractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
  • Lead day-to-day project execution with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and health and safety.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including scoping, cost estimating, proposal support, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, resource planning, and financial management.
  • Plan and manage site characterization programs, including coordination of field investigations and oversight of field teams.
  • Evaluate and interpret geologic and site characterization data, develop conceptual site models, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives.
  • Prepare and/or review work plans, technical reports, and regulatory submittals.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor staff and review work products to support consistent quality and knowledge transfer.
  • Plan all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of relevant local Bay Area environmental consulting experience, including direct project management experience.
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) registration, as appropriate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently lead project teams to achieve project and client goals and objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen.
  • Proficient computer literacy skills, including use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint-and the ability to learn software needed to support financial management, diverse project needs, and client requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on interdisciplinary project teams.

Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of project management and financial management experience.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and current refresher updates.

The salary range for this position in Walnut Creek, CA; Oakland, CA; or San Jose, CA is $115,000-$145,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
