Full Job Description
LiveX AI • Project Manager Palo Alto, CA • Full-time, on-site • Department: Operations / Deployments • Reports to: founding team Source: https://livex.ai/careers/project-manager (posted Jul 24, 2026) About the Role
LiveX AI builds AI infrastructure for the physical world, deploying interactive AI agents and hardware into high-foot-traffic venues such as hotels, retail flagships, convention centers, and stadiums. Each deployment is custom and requires sales, solution engineering, warehouse readiness, and a third-party delivery partner to stay in sync. This role owns each deployment end to end and works daily with sales, solution engineering, and office/logistics. Responsibilities
End-to-End Deployment Ownership
Single accountable owner for each deployment, from signed contract to a live, working installation at the customer site.
Run the deployment schedule: define milestones, sequence dependencies, track status, surface risks and blockers early.
Internal hub across sales, solution engineering, and office/logistics so nothing falls between teams.
Scope & Solution Engineering
Drive a clear, complete SOW from sales and sales engineering before each deployment starts; push back when scope is ambiguous.
Track solution engineers through implementation against the SOW, keeping configuration and readiness on schedule.
Translate customer requirements and site constraints into a concrete deployment plan.
Logistics & Warehouse Coordination
Coordinate with the office/logistics owner and the third-party delivery partner on delivery windows, pickup, and destination readiness.
Confirm warehouse readiness before each deployment: items staged, configured, health-checked before shipping.
Manage installation scheduling and any returns or de-installations.
Customer & Communication
Customer-facing point of contact during rollout: set expectations, communicate timelines, manage change requests.
Run deployment kickoffs and post-deployment reviews; capture lessons; feed improvements into the playbook.
Report deployment status and the pipeline of upcoming installs to the founding team.
Process & Systems
Build and maintain the deployment playbook, checklists, and tracking so the process is repeatable and scalable.
Own the tooling that tracks deployment status, asset location, and readiness across the fleet.
Requirements
Hungry, startup mindset above all: thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, takes extreme ownership, does what it takes to make each install land.
3+ years in project management, implementation/deployment management, technical program management, or field-services coordination, ideally at a startup, hardware, or solutions company.
Proven ability to run multi-stakeholder projects on a schedule and hold others accountable without direct authority.
Comfortable reading and reasoning about a technical scope of work; talks credibly with solution engineers.
Strong coordination and communication across internal teams, external partners, and customers.
Highly organized and self-directed; builds process from scratch.
Calm under pressure; biased toward closing gaps and driving at-risk deployments to resolution.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience deploying hardware or physical installations into venues or field sites.
Familiarity with project/deployment tracking tools and a CRM (e.g., HubSpot).
Background in logistics, shipping, or warehouse operations.
PMP or similar credential (not required).
