DescriptionThe Experience You'll Create:The Project Manager is responsible for successful delivery of cross-functional internal and client-facing projects. Projects can vary in scope, duration, and budget and require learning of Continental teams and processes as well as engagement with business leaders (e.g., manager and director level). Typical activities include:
- Lead the planning, design, execution, and monitoring of a variety of projects across all business units. Examples include: new programs or process improvements, client installations and renovations, technology implementations, and new business integrations.
- Maintain electronic project plans and schedules for every project and track key milestones and provide progress updates throughout the life of the project.
- Proactively prepare for and facilitate project meetings and issue meeting notes.
- Track project goals, risks, resourcing, and capital expense budget.
- Work with project team members to understand where constraints may exist and help remove barriers and roadblocks.
- Serve as a point of contact when multiple teams are assigned to the same project to ensure understanding and actions are aligned.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and project sponsors on project updates to ensure goal alignment.
- Contribute to the PMO's development by providing improvements as well as informing key stakeholders on PMO best practices.
- Work with business leaders to develop tools to support project activities, which may extend into operational best practices.
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships within project teams and key stakeholders.
- Utilize an escalation framework when project milestones, objectives, or goals are at risk.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ingredients for Thriving:- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- 3+ years of Project Manager experience, successfully managing multiple projects at the same time in various stages. Specific experience in multiple industries is desired. Specifically, construction, technology, and organizational change management.
- Strong active listening, communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Work independently; manage workload capacity and prioritization with minimal oversight
- Collaborate with others; work with stakeholders to resolve conflicts with consistent positive results
- Demonstrate effective time management when working both independently and within teams
- Technology Aptitudes: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio. Proficient in task management tools or software (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Understanding and working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications within project management as well as business functions.
- Exceptional communication skills - is clear, open, and honest; provides clear follow-up and actions
- Proven adaptability and flexibility to work within a heavily matrixed company structure
Location(s) & Logistics: - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk completing electronic-based tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Hybrid work environment (typically three days per week in office)
- Occasional need to walk for extended periods at client sites
- Occasional travel to support project engagements and related activities within the Continental portfolio.
