As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in the development, operation, and continuous improvement of waste management programs, facilities, and initiatives that help prevent, reduce, reuse, recycle, and safely dispose of waste. You will work with diverse stakeholders, guide strategic planning activities, and help deliver projects that support CNL's long-term objectives. What will you be doing!
  • Leading the development, validation, and maintenance of project baselines, including scope, schedule, cost, and resource plans.
  • Monitoring project baseline integrity throughout the project lifecycle and managing changes through approved governance processes.
  • Aligning project activities with regulatory, contractual, and organizational requirements.
  • Establishing and maintaining lifecycle plans for long-lead delivery programs to support organizational objectives and project delivery timelines.
  • Developing integrated project plans that align scope, schedule, cost, and resource requirements with approved commitments.
  • Applying project governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying operational risks, dependencies, and impacts and incorporating them into business case development and decision-making processes.
  • Facilitating cross-functional reviews and approvals to support effective project execution and business case development.
  • Collaborating with operational teams to define project scope, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Developing and managing procurement strategies, business cases, budgets, schedules, and risk assessments for key initiatives.
  • Monitoring procurement activities, vendor performance, and project progress to ensure quality, schedule, and cost objectives are achieved.
  • Supporting the implementation and application of project governance across assigned program areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:
  • Education
    • Degree in Engineering, MBA, diploma in a technical trade, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Professional certification or membership in a relevant organization (e.g., PMP) is considered an asset.
  • Experience
    • Experience in the nuclear industry, waste management, administration, and/or leadership environments.
    • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience.
    • Demonstrated experience successfully managing and delivering projects.
    • Previous management experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
    • Strong project management, organizational, planning, and analytical abilities.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing demands in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong business acumen and financial knowledge, including budget planning and monitoring.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
    • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."

Working Conditions:
  • Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
  • Occasional national and international travel may be required.
