Project Manager, Architecture

Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

As a Project Manager you will strategically manage and lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless execution, adherence to design intent, and successful delivery within established scope, schedule, and budget. This role demands a blend of design and construction knowledge, along with project and financial management skills, and leadership abilities to navigate complex project dynamics. You will lead projects to successful execution while meeting client expectations, leveraging your expertise to maintain a collaborative project environment and guide the team through challenges to achieve project objectives with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. What You Will Do:
  • Lead the project team in developing design concepts and detailed plans, ensuring alignment with project requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Direct the integration of project deliverables with documentation from external stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment, accuracy, and consistent communication across all project phases.
  • Oversee contract administration, including submittal reviews, RFI management, payment certification, project closeout, and participation in OAC meetings, ensuring smooth transition and adherence to the design intent.
  • Ensure all design decisions comply with current building codes and regulations and educate the team to maintain project integrity and compliance.
  • Create detailed work plans, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget, and adapt project schedules as needed to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Manage communication and relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring project goals alignment, delivering updates, addressing concerns, and fostering collaboration.
  • Lead financial project management, including fee proposals, billing, collections, and analysis for optimizing efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews to ensure compliance with stakeholder requirements, codes, regulations, and design standards.
  • Foster a supportive environment, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the team is focused and aligned with project goals.


What You Will Bring:
  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture.
  • 8+ years of experience in managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite and MS Office Suite and ability to review drawings for quality.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a hybrid role, with 3 days in our Studio.


What We Will Provide:

The expected hiring range for this position is $115,000 to $130,000 annually. This hiring range falls within a broader salary band established for the role. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
