Full Job Description
Position Summary

DynaTen is seeking a Project Executive to join our Construction team. This is an essential position responsible for planning, executing and ultimately overseeing projects, so our delivery meets our high-quality standards and our clients' expectations. The role of the Project Executive is to lead a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to plan, execute, and finalize construction of multiple projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers


  • Oversee multiple commercial mechanical and/or plumbing construction projects to ensure execution aligns with design specifications, budget and schedule


  • Review and approve project plans and specifications, approve and occasionally build project schedules, make recommendations of potential cost-saving measures and identify potential construction problems


  • Complete job cost breakdowns, schedule of values, and review and approve project billings


  • Collaborate with general contractors, vendors and subcontractors to coordinate project schedules, RFIs and change orders


  • Coordinate with field superintendents on manpower needs, adjusting as needed


  • Conduct and attend pre-construction and post construction meetings


  • Manage multiple projects varying in scope simultaneously


  • Maintains regular communication with office teams, general contractors, owner and other stakeholders as needed


  • Oversee and continuously monitor site safety for all involved at all project jobsites


  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned


  • Closely coordinate with DynaTen Preconstruction team for any new project pursuits and become involved in final estimate review and generation of bid proposal


  • Instrumental in the buy-out of the respective projects


  • Assist the Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager in the project setup, as needed.


  • Review large purchases for approval


  • Lead contract negotiations with General Contractors, Owners, and Subcontractors


  • Review and present individual monthly cost to date and projection reports for management's review


  • Full P&L responsibility across multiple projects


  • Participate in pursuit strategy and interviews


  • Identify potential cost reduction opportunities


  • Analyze financial performance and drive margin improvement.


  • Capability to step in and resolve:

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years' experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects including healthcare, medical gas, educational, institutional, military and others


  • 5-10+ years in leadership roles (Senior PM, Operations Manager, or Executive level)


  • Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering or 15 years equivalent relevant work experience.


  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, each with a minimum value of $35 million


  • 10 years minimum experience successfully leading direct reports


  • 10 years experience with project cost to complete, project financials and project close outs


  • 10 years experience with contract review, project set up from Preconstruction to Operations, and generation of accurate subcontracts


  • OSHA 10 Hour required


  • OSHA 30 Hour required


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • Required aptitude on construction


  • Have a positive attitude, be professional and self-motivated


  • Ability to work as both an individual contributor and a team player


  • Presentation and communication skills.


  • Experience with self-performed mechanical scopes (HVAC, piping, plumbing)


  • Proven leadership in a team environment


  • Pass a background, drug screening, and MVR check


  • Proficiency with COINS or similar cost tracking software, Procore, Autodesk Liquid Cloud, Bluebeam, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite


  • 10 years experience in supplier and subcontract negotiations


  • Strong evidence of excellent leadership and influence skills to deliver results.


  • 10 years experience managing commissioning and system startup processes


  • 10 years expertise in GMP, Lump Sum, and Cost-Plus contracts


  • Strong organization leadership skills across operations and field execution


  • Adaptability in fast-paced construction environments

Working Conditions

Must have the ability to perform the duties above in a non-controlled environment. This will include climbing ladders, working on ladders and elevated surfaces, maintain in good working conditions, tools, materials, and equipment required to your work area. Working exposed to the elements during (when required) at all times of the year. All employees are required to always wear PPE and always follow Safety procedures.
