Scope of Position

Scope of Job: The Project Estimation Manager will play a critical role in driving the successful development, evaluation, and implementation of renewable energy projects within the Project Estimation team, which is part of the broader Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Technical Services (EPCTS) department. The successful candidate will be a recognized subject matter expert and strategic owner of the end-to-end estimation process and will be accountable for the quality, accuracy, and strategic value of project evaluations that directly drive investment decisions, portfolio prioritization, and long-term project success.

The Project Estimation Manager will lead the evaluation and aggregation of technical project assumptions for projects under development, encompassing construction and equipment costs, ongoing operational expenses, and impacts on energy production. The Project Estimation Manager will be accountable to ensure that project investment decisions are informed by the most reliable and up-to-date information available. This will include setting the analytical standard for late-stage investment decisions, proactively identifying gaps or risks in the estimation framework, and driving structural improvements across tools, processes, and cross-functional workflows with minimal direction.

The Project Estimation Manager will indirectly guide the work of analysts and cross-functional contributors through coaching, technical direction, and review, without formal supervisory authority. The Project Estimation Manager will provide recommendations that inform broader EPCT department strategy.

In addition to technical expertise, the Project Estimation Manager will promote efforts to enhance and standardize estimation processes, tools, and systems across the EPCT department. This will include identifying opportunities for innovation, implementing best practices, and driving cross-functional collaboration to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall project outcomes.

As a key contributor to the success of renewable energy projects, the Project Estimation Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations to optimize project feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and long-term performance. This role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a commitment to advancing the company’s mission of delivering sustainable energy solutions.
