Direct Hire Project Engineer (Land Development) in
Santa Clarita, CA. As a
Project Engineer, you will:
- Lead the engineering design and execution of land development and civil infrastructure projects.
- Develop project work plans, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
- Oversee project progress and coordinate activities to ensure quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and supporting documents.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, designers, and CAD drafters.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and public agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Evaluate technical challenges and develop practical engineering solutions for complex projects.

full-time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 6 years of civil engineering experience with a PE license, or 10+ years of relevant civil engineering design experience.
- Strong knowledge of land development and site design, including grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater systems.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CADD platforms.
- Strong understanding of hydrology and hydraulic analysis principles.
- Experience reviewing engineering plans and performing QA/QC processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications - Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- California PE registration.
- Experience working directly with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
- Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software.
- Previous experience leading engineering teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Background in construction support, field observations, and project closeout activities.
Pay Rate: $110,000 - $145,000 annually. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
