Full Job Description
Direct Hire Project Engineer (Land Development) in Santa Clarita, CA.

As a Project Engineer, you will:
  • Lead the engineering design and execution of land development and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Develop project work plans, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
  • Oversee project progress and coordinate activities to ensure quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and supporting documents.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, designers, and CAD drafters.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and public agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Evaluate technical challenges and develop practical engineering solutions for complex projects.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 6 years of civil engineering experience with a PE license, or 10+ years of relevant civil engineering design experience.
  • Strong knowledge of land development and site design, including grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater systems.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CADD platforms.
  • Strong understanding of hydrology and hydraulic analysis principles.
  • Experience reviewing engineering plans and performing QA/QC processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • California PE registration.
  • Experience working directly with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
  • Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Previous experience leading engineering teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Background in construction support, field observations, and project closeout activities.

Pay Rate: $110,000 - $145,000 annually.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
