Full Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring a Direct Hire Project Manager (Land Development) in Santa Clarita, CA.

As a Project Manager, you will:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil engineering, surveying, or planning projects.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, billing, contract administration, and change management.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to project teams.
  • Coordinate project resources and delegate responsibilities to meet schedule and quality objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain budget and timeline goals.
  • Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal preparation, and networking activities.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Planning, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, land surveying, planning, or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating project resources.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, contract administration, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, budgeting, and project management software.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
  • California registration as a Civil Engineer or Land Surveyor.
  • Experience managing land development, infrastructure, or public works projects.
  • Proposal development and business development experience.
  • Familiarity with CADD and engineering design software.
  • Experience mentoring, developing, and evaluating technical staff.

Pay Rate: $140,000 - $180,000 annually.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
