THE WORK
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is looking for Project Engineer professionals to lead contracts for our Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) products that protect and defend the information flow of critical, time-sensitive data on many military applications and networks.
  • As a member of the Trusted Security Solutions team, the candidate will ensure high standards in project planning and contract execution.
  • The candidate will be responsible for leading design, sustainment, and development efforts, including agile development cycles.
  • The candidate should be a well-rounded Project Engineer with experience in project planning, technical leadership, control-account management(CAM), budgeting and forecasting, and earned-value management.
  • The candidate should expect to learn program-specific technologies and processes and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Duties include Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development, supporting new project proposals, assisting with staff planning, and driving general process improvement.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • The program-management team works primarily at the Deer Creek, Littleton, CO facility with limited remote-work capability. Team members must be willing to travel occasionally as required by the role.

WHO YOU ARE
You will lead TSS projects through all phases of the design, development, and deployment process.
  • You are an experienced leader who can ensure seamless contract execution in a team environment, potentially supporting multiple concurrent projects or task orders covering maintenance, modernization, or capability upgrades to several software products sustained by this program.
  • You have the skills to collaborate closely with program management, technical leads, systems-integration and test engineering teams, and fellow Project Engineers in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.


Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Leadership - Minimum of 5 years in leadership role, with a minimum of 3 years as Project Engineer or Control Account Manager (CAM). Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams in coordination with program management and technical leadership.
  • Project Management - Extensive experience in project planning, scheduling (IMS), and earned value management (EVM).
  • CAM - Advanced understanding of CAM concepts and operations including proficiency with budgeting, forecasting, and control account management tools.
  • Communication - Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to prepare technical reports and briefings.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize numerous tasks and manage competing deadlines.
  • Clearance - Active security clearance (Secret or higher) and willingness to undergo a government security investigation.


Desired Skills

  • Strong experience serving as a liaison to government or military customers - communicating requirements, status, and technical data clearly and securely.
  • Participation in, or leadership of, proposal development efforts - contributing technical content, cost estimates, and schedule inputs to win new contracts.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering collaborative, high performance team environments.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements, technical-standards adoption, and innovation across engineering teams.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong technical background in cyber security, cross domain solutions, or related defense systems.


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
