Overview

MSA is excited to announce an opportunity for a Project Engineer Public Works at our Duluth, MN or St. Paul, MN office. This position works closely with a wide variety of municipal clients for civil engineering projects. This position is Flex Time eligible and hybrid working arrangements are possible.

Responsibilities

Your mission:
  • Client relations including attendance at client meetings and interaction with existing and new clients
  • Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
  • Design of public works infrastructure projects
  • Assist with mentoring junior engineering staff
  • Preparation of plans, details, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
  • Administration of construction on public works infrastructure projects


Qualifications

The salary for this position ranges from $79,081 to $126,529 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related) required
  • 4+ years of prior experience within the Public Works market serving multiple clients or related fields required
  • PE license required
  • Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities preferred
