Full Job Description
Purpose Lead the execution of diverse projects on site, from initial justification and technical design through to successful implementation and commissioning. Projects are of a capital or engineering investment nature and vary in size and complexity, including site master plans, renovations, engineering studies, new construction, and utilities. Also, supports the integration of MES, CMS, and SAP systems within project activities, including ensuring accurate governance and setup of raw material data within CMS. Salary Range Based on Experience: $86,000 - $120,000. Main Responsibilities Strategy Design and Execution - Contribute to the development of the Regional Project Engineering plan by advising management on project feasibility. - Prepare business cases and project designs, and coordinate execution upon approval by sponsors and steering committees. Project Management - Manage capital projects and engineering studies. - Develop project scopes, cost estimations, credit applications, and technical specifications. - Ensure compliance with design and construction standards, and all applicable regulations and EHS requirements. - Monitor project execution parameters, including timelines, cost estimates, and deliverables, and implement corrective actions. - Co-lead tender processes with suppliers and contractors. - Implement and apply appropriate project monitoring tools. - Support project teams during execution, including resource and contingency planning. - Conduct hazard studies, risk assessments, and process optimizations. - Manage contractors on site for assigned projects. - Report on project status and maintain budget control for approved projects. - Produce all required design documentation and support projects within approved budgets. - Support integration activities across MES, CMS, and SAP platforms within the project scope. - Ensure accurate creation, validation, and governance of raw material data within CMS with operational and system requirements. People Management - Contribute to annual HR processes by providing feedback to line managers regarding the performance of project team members. - Collaborate with line managers and HR Partners to strengthen project management capabilities within the Engineering function. - Support the development and promotion of talent within and beyond the Engineering function. Academic Background - Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline. - Plant Engineering or Maintenance certification. Professional Experience - 2+ years of experience in factory engineering or maintenance, including management of multi-process engineering projects involving diverse disciplines. - 1 year of people management experience. Technical Skills - Good command of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., TPM, KPIs, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, project controls). - Knowledge of EHS standards and regulatory requirements. - Sound understanding of financial concepts (OPEX, CAPEX) and systems such as SAP.
